For the month of July, we are hosting the exhibit, "Masks of Southwest China"  which runs from July 10-August 7, 2010. There will be many never before seen masks from the Nuo rituals and Bianpo plays of the Miao people. 

 

On Saturday, July 17, Chicago artist, Susan Ploughe will be at the gallery to meet clients and open her new show, "Facing East" which features figurative art from her last visit to China. Susan has successfully painted several works which depict the people she met during her trip to China with us in 2008. You may also come and watch her work on a painting in progress. 

 

On August 20 & 21, we will host our annual trunk show with the artist couple, Peter Ciesla and Skye. This year, Peter and Skye have been working on amazing garments for a special show in Milwaukee, and they will bring up the main piece this weekend and will give us all a special Preview!  In addition, they will have all their fabulous jewelry for the trunk show including some new pieces created just for us.

Come visit us at Savory Spoon Cooking School in Ellison Bay at 12042 Hwy 42 on Sunday, Aug. 29 from 2-4 PM. We will be serving Chinese dumplings and tea and sharing our China stories from our last Culinary Adventure. Information on the upcoming Tour to China from Nov. 4-14,2010 will be shared. The event is free and open to everyone.

Dr. He Qi, world renowned artist and professor will be coming back to Ellison Bay on Sat., Sept. 18. Come visit him at Linden Gallery from 10-5.
