David Smith

For over 30 years, David Smith has kindled a passion for wood-fired vessels and sculpture. Since 1978, his craft has allowed him to travel and work with a broad range of artists. In America, he has worked extensively in New York, New Jersey, Michigan, Montana, Arizona, Florida and Wisconsin. David’s work has always reflected East Asian methods and aesthetics while maintaining a sensibility that is undeniably Western. Since 2005, he has been travelling to Asia to participate in teaching and exhibition opportunities and it is this cross-fertilization of his work and life which makes his work so appealing.
